Halloween Candy Campaigns
Personally, Halloween is my favorite time of year. Why, you ask? It contains the majority of my favorite things – pumpkins, hayrides, costumes, corn mazes, haunted houses and cooler weather. I’m not the only one who’s a huge fan of all things spooky. In 2017, the National Retail Federation reported that Americans spend an estimated $9.1 billion on Halloween, and $2.7 million on candy alone! So, in the spirit of Halloween, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Halloween candy commercials.
Bite Size Horror Films
In 2017, Fox networks and Mars candy brands teamed up to create Bite Size Horror Films. These two-minute horror films ran during commercial breaks on Fox, beginning and ending with a brief advertisement for Snickers, M&Ms, Skittles and Starburst. These commercials were particularly frightening because they caused confusion and were created at such a high caliber. As you watch the entirety of the ad, you almost forget that’s what it is – an advertisement. My personal favorite is Starburst’s “Replacement.” However, each one is wonderful so be sure to check them all out.

Have a Break, Have a KITKAT
Taking place in what appears to be the aftermath of an apocalyptic event, we see a group of people assumedly being chased by a zombie. However, KITKAT took a break from usual zombie movie protocol. I’ve got to give KITKAT a hand for stepping outside of the box! Puns intended.

Giant Talking Spiders
In my opinion, Skittles always seems to have the best commercials. This one is no exception. Check out the unlikely duo of a giant spider and a boy whose friend is caught in the spider’s web. What happens might surprise you.

Grocery Store Lady
I’ll let this Snickers commercial speak for itself, but it might be the funniest, yet creepiest ad I’ve seen to date.
