October 2025 wrap-up
Costumes, candy and jack-o’-lanterns, oh my! October was full of tricks, treats and public relations feats. Here’s what the team’s been up to this month:
- Paging Edward Scissorhands – Ribbon-cuttings galore! Pro Health opened its Germantown location with much fanfare (including a visit from Memphis Tigers’ mascot Pouncer), and Memphis Housing Authority unveiled South City Phase VI, the final phase of its Foote Park complex.
- Running for your life – Several team members participated in the Hernando Water Tower 10K and Half Marathon. Obsidian was a proud event sponsor.
- Fall fun and fellowship – ’Tis the season for events! The Children’s Museum of Memphis hosted its Halloween Spooktacular: Master of Disguise, where guests were encouraged to dress in their best incognito costumes; Bog & Barley held two events: Pups on the Patio with the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby and its inaugural Bog Fest complete with seasonal menu items, family-friendly games and more; and the Christian Community Foundation invited fundholders to enjoy its donor luncheon Harvesting Generosity.

Birthday celebrations
One of the many perks of having an office HQ is celebrating team birthdays! The birthday girl selects a treat for the team in honor of her special day. This month, we celebrated Peyton and Haley’s birthdays with Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis® and a berry Chantilly cake from Whole Foods.
