As a child, Murray fell in love with writing, and oddly enough, the news. On Fridays, you could find her on the living room floor with her small town’s weekly paper, the Wynne Progress, as her arms were too short to hold both pages in her hands. And at 5:30 p.m., she was glued to the TV for Charlie Gibson’s evening newscast. Rumor has it, Murray tapes Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight, and watches them both… “for fun.” Some things never change!
Upon graduation from the University of Arkansas in 2015, Murray sought out a career that combined her two loves – writing and the news – and one that was fast-paced and challenging (in the best way!). She found all those things in Obsidian. Starting as an intern, Murray now directs various client accounts, many of which are in the food, restaurant and hospitality industries.
Outside the office, Murray enjoys exercising, cooking and watching sports. The latter presents challenges when her Hogs play her husband’s Volunteers. Some days, their son, Fletcher, spends one half of the day in Razorback red and the other half in Tennessee orange – it’s only fair!
