- What is one work perk you’re thankful for?
- That’s a no brainer! Our time off during the holidays is a perk I’m very grateful for. It’s so nice to be able to rest and rejuvenate as a brand new year approaches.
- What Thanksgiving dish are you most excited to eat?
- Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, so I’m excited for all the dishes, but my family knows that pumpkin pie is what I’m beelining to every year. My aunt’s recipe, topped with homemade whipped cream, is unmatched.
- What is your favorite work-related activity? (Going to news stations, planning/attending events, networking, social media, etc.)
- I really enjoy media relations work. The feeling you get when you land a great story for a client is special, and providing them with the opportunity to further tell their story is rewarding! After being in this field for over eight years, I’ve established great connections with our media community and have a collaborative rapport with many of them, which makes both of our jobs easier. Also, many of my clients (especially the charter schools!) make it easy on me to produce great pitches when they provide me with success stories, unique programs, strong community partnerships, etc.
- Do you have any fun plans for the holiday?
- I’ve done a lot of traveling this year, so I’m excited to just stay home during the holiday season! Great books, nights by the fireplace, Grizz games, time with family and friends and lots of relaxation will make up my time off.
- What is your favorite part about the fall?
- Fall is my favorite season! The fashion, the flavors, the weather, the sports – the list goes on and on.
