New year, new opportunities for the Obsidian team to show up and show out for our clients! January might have been chilly, but the presses were HOT with OPR clients in action. Here are a few highlights from the month.

• Boots on the ground: The Hopeworks team – Taylor, Carlee and Lauren –  attended a groundbreaking for the organization’s new housing facility to support men transitioning into society from Shelby County Division of Corrections. This project represents the organization’s commitment to reducing barriers that lead to recidivism after release from prison.
• Come one, come all: Haley attended her client’s annual event, Cirque du CMOM – the one night a year where adults can feel like a kid again as they explore and raise money for the Children’s Museum of Memphis.

Sound advice: Taylor represented Obsidian at the Tennessee Nonprofit Network’s media relations panel. She sat alongside leaders from the Daily Memphian and The Commercial Appeal, providing insight and recommendations to nonprofit professionals. Way to go, Taylor!
