- What is one work perk you’re thankful for?
- I really enjoy the flexibility of our work schedule. Since we’re remote, we can work from anywhere (I’ve actually worked from the beach!), plus we’re able to plan appointments and other life events around our day. It’s a vote of confidence, in my opinion, that we’re trusted to maintain our standard of high-quality work while keeping a healthy work-life balance.
- What Thanksgiving dish are you most excited to eat?
- When I was a kid, I would spend a whole day at my grandma’s baking and cooking to get ready for Thanksgiving. One of her most beloved specialties was a caramel pie, made with homemade caramel. Since her passing, I have made it every year to keep the tradition going, so that’s definitely my favorite Thanksgiving dish.
- What is your favorite work-related activity? (Going to news stations, planning/attending events, networking, social media, etc.)
- My favorite work-related activity is photo shoots! I have several restaurant clients so I regularly capture content for new dishes, cocktails, etc. I love searching the perfect lighting, staging the shot and figuring out the correct angle – it gives me an avenue to be creative in a space I enjoy.
- Do you have any fun plans for the holiday?
- Thanksgiving is pretty chill in my family, so I’m looking forward to some quality time with friends and family and, of course, good food. I also like to bake over the holiday, so I’ll probably find a new recipe or two to try, and I have a few books in mind I want to read.
- What is your favorite part about the fall?
- Autumn is my favorite season, so it’s hard to name just one thing! I love the cooler weather, wearing sweaters, leaves changing colors, a warm cup of coffee on a chilly morning, bonfires and all the fun of Halloween. If I had to pick just one thing, though, I’d have to say I love the foods and flavors associated with fall most. Apple, pumpkin, cinnamon, sweet potato, maple – I’m a sucker for a fall treat!
