Obsidian PR is proud to call Memphis home. We believe that part of doing business the right way is venturing outside of our traditional daily roles to help in meaningful and impactful ways that align with our strengths and passions as a team. All of our colleagues are active in local organizations in their personal time through board and committee involvement, professional organizations, volunteerism and philanthropic efforts. As an agency, however, we’ve created three formalized Obsidian programs through which we support our home communities year-round.
PR 180º Project
This initiative is Obsidian’s yearly social media contest with a prize of six months of pro bono services awarded to two local nonprofits. It’s conducted every November with services starting the next calendar year. For more information about PR 180°, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. And remember to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to be reminded about each year’s contest.
This event is Obsidian’s daylong free brainstorm for local nonprofits and/or small businesses (depending on the year). Through an application process, the agency invites about seven local organizations to come in and participate in a lightning brainstorm round with our entire team to address certain PR challenges. For information on the next Idea Fest, email us at email@example.com.
Off the Rock
Through this initiative, Obsidian aims to “get off our base” and do good things for the community. This is achieved through various volunteer opportunities around town throughout the year. If you’re interested in Obsidian volunteering for your organization, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
