Summer Intern Spotlight: Carlee Smith

This summer, Obsidian’s Level 1 internship position will be filled by two outstanding PR students. Arkansas State University senior Carlee Smith is one of them! We wanted to get to know her a little more – and you can, too, as she is our team spotlight this month!

Position at Obsidian: Level 1 Intern

College attending: Arkansas State University

Graduation date: May 2018

Hometown: Marion, Arkansas

Why Obsidian? I really liked the culture, and I feel like that’s what made Obsidian stand out to me. It seemed like it was one big family, and I was right. Everyone has been so welcoming and has been there to answer any questions I’ve had.

What you are most looking forward to about this internship: I’m looking forwarding to learning as much as I possibly can and learning firsthand the ins and outs of agency life.

Favorite sports team(s): The Grizzlies (of course) and the Crimson Tide

Favorite summer vacation spot: The beach. There is nothing is better than listening to the waves.

Late-nighter or early riser? Late-nighter, for sure

Pets? Not yet, but I’m really looking forward to getting a puppy (hopefully) once I graduate!

Favorite movie: “10 Things I Hate About You” (I could watch it every day, and Heath Ledger is one of my favorite actors.)

Favorite book: “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Most recent album/song downloaded: I recently discovered BØRNS, and I’ve been listening to his album, “Dopamine,” nonstop ever since.

Something you always keep in your fridge: Pancho’s cheese dip – it’s a necessity. I’m obsessed.

Favorite item in your closet: I have a green tactical-like jacket from H&M. It’s such a versatile piece you can dress up or down. I wear it with everything.

What’s for dinner tonight? If I could choose, it would have to be Central BBQ or a club sandwich from Young Avenue Deli (even though it’ll end up being whatever my mom cooks
