At an early age, Taylor knew that she was destined to become a writer. After learning that she was reading on a junior high school level during the first grade, she understood her love for books and learning new words. So, while she set out to become an English teacher, Taylor quickly realized that her place was not in the classroom but in the ever-changing world of public relations.
Born and raised in the Bluff City, Taylor is a University of Memphis graduate, and she received her Bachelor of Arts in public relations from the Department of Journalism and Strategic Media. Her ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and her drive to learn carried Taylor through her first internship at Obsidian during the spring of 2016. During that internship, she enjoyed working on different accounts and her passion for PR only increased.
Taylor enjoys all things PR, as she was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America and also served as the secretary of the U of M’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When Taylor is not crafting content or assisting with clients’ needs, she enjoys traveling to new places with her husband, Andrew, or catching up with family and friends. She also enjoys attempting original recipes, meeting new people and all things joyful.
