Carlee developed a passion for writing as a child. She would write stories or poems and could often be found journaling or reading. Throughout high school, she thought journalism would be the perfect fit to further pursue her passion. However, after taking classes in public relations and advertising in college, she realized that her true love was communications.
A rising senior at Arkansas State, Carlee has served on the leadership council for her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, and has been named a Global Student Leader for her university. She feels that giving back to others is important and frequently participates in various service projects.
Growing up in the Greater Memphis Area, Carlee’s love for the Bluff City has grown with her. Some of her favorite things to do in Memphis are cheer on the Grizzlies, jam out at Beale Street Music Fest and explore all that the city has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys watching Netflix, listening to music and spending time with the people she loves.
Carlee is excited to be a part of the team here at Obsidian. She hopes her experience as an intern will continue to grow her love of communications and apply the skills she has learned in classes to real-life situations.
